Corporate Services

The approach I take is to educate the individual to know what works best for them. Our goal is to prevent RMI before they happen, and when that's not possible, to educate the employees on how to help themselves before the tension turns into an acute or chronic injury.

I not only give your employees an understanding of the proper ergonomic set-up, but I help them tailor it to their needs whether in the office, or a work from home (WFH) set-up. I teach many stretches and movement routines done right at the desk, teaching how to understand when the body is in need of a break, to be aware of the tension, and then to know what to do to help it be relieved.

Help your employees know the "what" of proper posture and biomechanics, the "how" to help themselves, and the "why" it is necessary to do so. Empower your employees to take care of themselves with the tools I provide.

Why is this Important?

Average cost of lost time from injury in the US in 2010 was $20,500 per injured employee due to lost productivity. This has only increased over the past 10 years.

Typical office-space ergonomics includes purchasing a lot of equipment and setting up a generalized workspace. Ergonomic prescription in a corporate environment is often a one-size-fits-all approach.

But not everyone is the same. Everyone has varied needs from previous injury history, activities they engage in, and personal preference.

Even if all your employees are in the most expensive and elite ergonomic chairs and desk-set ups that are possible, your company will still have an incidence of RMI. Your employees have to take breaks to move. The key is finding the balance of proper posture and desk set-up, and learning when and how to take breaks for movement. Movement, in order to oppose the joint angles of sitting or standing at the desk, is vital.
